Hermione had always been an early bird, even as a child, she recalled greeting the sun every morning, instead of the sun greeting her. Dreams never caught her attention for long, sleep was something she needed in order to have energy the next day, nothing more, nothing less. Her honey eyes scanned the Great Hall to find that only a hand full of other kids were actually awake.
Breakfast hadn't been made yet, so she found herself staring at the plate in front of her as if it was a pensieve. Her memories of 14 years flowed onto the plate, one after another: Crushes, Ideals, Hopes, Dreams, and finally, the reasons of lost hope. She decided at that moment, that she could never get used to life, for everything did change, and nothing she could do would stop that.
